Oh, it almost fit.

I made three things for our baby Miles from the time that I was pregnant with him to the end of my maternity leave. It was an orange sweater with blue trims to match his big brother's mama made sweater, a simple baby hat with leftover cotton yarn from years ago. The hat hardly fit anymore at 4 months old. I also made a small teddy bear for each of my boys. I was so sleep deprived during my 3 month maternity leave, that was all the crafting I can handle. I didn't even get a chance to make him a baby blanket which I regret but it's not too late. We still have plenty of chilly days and nights ahead of us to start on that blanket. The problem is my knitting needles are all packed away somewhere due to our future move to Maplewood New Jersey which had been delay for nearly 3 weeks. We are still waiting for the closing date for the sale of our apartment.

Highlight of this week, my friend Vikki's visit. We ate some really really good food during her 24 hour stay. We had mac and cheese at S'Mac, Mac and Cheese all kind of style. Japanese noodles, chocolate at Max Brenner and dim sum at Flushing, Queens. Food was the only thing on Vikki's agenda. She's my kind of eatin friend. Tai is crazy about Vikki but aren't we all. We woke that poor girl up at 8 this morning but the truth is, Tai was up at 6, we just kept him in our bedroom for 2 hours before we let him loose into the living room where Vikki slept. She's gone on the afternoon train. I am missing her already. I'm off to put the boys to bed.

Growing so fast.

Baby Miles just turned 4 months. He is growing so fast. I couldn't believe how fast time is passing right by us. The weekend never come fast enough and then when it's finally here, I just want time to stand still so we can be together and hold hands. Tomorrow is Friday again, I don't think I can take another day without him so I decided, he's coming with me.

Bears Bears Bears...other animals to come...

Tai had named Miles' polar bear Georgie and named his own bear, bear. He's been having lots of fun just using these two bears as pretend friends and traveling to the north pole, south pole and to Africa in search of treasures and penguins. This morning, before he left for school. I asked to kiss his bear good bye. He has requested for a rabbit and a panda bear to join his group. I'm so thrilled that he actually wants me to make him stuff toys. I'm on to my 5th bear now and I think I am ready to put this bear pattern onto paper and get started on a rabbit and a panda.

Finally, we have a new president! And it's a better day!

It's been such a busy week. We have a new president! Yippee for all! President Obama! Sounds so hopeful and promising. I am so proud of our country!

It's been a really busy life this week. At work, it's the first week of school. Home front, we are so still in boxes and do not have a closing day or a moving day.

I still have my fingers crossed and hope for everything goes through smoothly.

Crafting front, I finished the orange bear for Tai and made a new bear for my brother's new baby girl. She and Miles are 9 days apart.

Tomorrow we celebrate Chinese New Year! Year of the OX! It's my year! It's going to be a great one! Live large and dream big! I have to go to work tomorrow but will make the best of it.

New Hair Cut with the New Year.

I cut it all off a week ago. I kind of got carried away and off they go. I cut off about 18 inches I think or more. The last time I had hair this short must be when I was 17 or 18 years old. It was time to do it. Happy 2009! It's going to be a great year!
I found the USB cable for the camera. Here are our Christmas Pictures! Boy Am I late!

He is coming with me!

Today I could no longer can be apart from Miles so I brought him to work with me. I used to bring Tai to work with me almost every Friday before he turned 1 year old. Tai was such a quiet and mellow baby and would hardly cry or fuss. I would have him sitting in a bouncy seat with his toys on my big desk and he would be happy as a clam just being with me. It was such a joy to have him with me one extra day during the week. The hardest thing about having children for me is to leave them with someone else and go back to work to make money. It was so hard then and it's still so hard now but this is what we have to do to sustain a regular modest life style. I am not complaining. I'm so lucky to have a job during this hard economic times. I am even luckier to love my job and my work place. I just miss my babies especially the newest one.

Tomorrow is our weekend again. Thank goodness for weekends! We will have a chance to be glue together again in our 1 bedroom apartment full of boxes our belongings (no news on closing day yet). But again, I'm not complaining, just trying to be grateful for all that's right and good.
Big weekend, science project for Tai. Will post picture of project once we decide what we are doing.

Christmas Recap and things going on around the household and work force.

Lately I found myself just writing blog post without posting them. I would start them, then got busy and they stay incomplete and I moved onto my busy life.  Life has been very busy and crazy.  Christmas and New Year came and gone.  Hubby and I spend most of that time off packing and cleaning getting ready to move to our new home in New Jersey. While my 5 year old play in the small space we have left him after we piled up all the boxes.  Little baby Miles just hung out in his swing, having tummy time on the big bed and nursing a whole lot.

We got news yesterday that there will be a couple weeks of delay before the closings.

Everything is happening so quickly.  Now break is over and it's my first week back to work after 14 weeks of baby bliss at home with the boys.  I am only 3rd day back to work and I am missing my boys terribly.   I especially miss baby Miles who had been on the bottle strike since the end of November.  He refuse the take the bottle and puts up a pretty good fight. Thankfully, for the past few days, my grandmother and aunt have been coming to my house to gently ease him onto the bottle.  Baby Miles will start daycare when we get to New Jersey.  I already register him and I signed Tai Tai up for after school care.  I'll be in charge of picking up the children once our working commute starts.  It's all so crazy but we are determine to make this work.  After 5 years of having Tai, I thought by the time I have another baby, I'd be in a good enough financial situation to stay home with my children but unfortunately, we still need me to work to support our household especially during this economic times.

Little Miles has his shot appointment in the city tomorrow so I get to bring him with me to work.  I used to bring Tai to work almost every Friday until he was walking.  He was such a good and quiet baby, I can have him there with me and still get all my work done.  Until next time, let me just post this up.
